Two coffee cups of memories please. I went to find two coffee cups at a place called Timeless Treasures and what I found was priceless. I’ve known the owner of ...this place for a few years, I love just talking to Tracey Dudderar we talk shop, we talk about the weather, we talk about Trump, we talk about old men talking about old women During the talking I’m looking at the wares she has from vintage clothing, wood carved figurines, bone China, sterling silverware, many things from year past and then she suggested these two coffee cups from circa 1940’s I said perfect, wrap them up, I’ll take them. Jimmy was asleep when returned home, he sleeps a lot lately, I had time to get dinner started and wash the two cups, set the table for two, for the past thirteen years it has just been the two of us, finished cooking our dinner and woke Jimmy up by asking him if he would like to get up and sit in the dinning room for dinner, he said he wasn’t rally hungry but would get up for coffee so we both sat down at he dinning table, he asked my where did the cups come from, I told him from Tracey’s shop, he pick his up and that is when the memories of his childhood came back. My Mother and I would go together to a little dinner in Prescott Arkansas, where Jimmy was born and raised, It was just the two of us, it was a little thing that my Mother and I did on every other Saturday, I remember the dining room was painted mint green on the walls and framed pictures of railroad scenery, New York and Famous movie stars hung on them, we would have breakfast and talk about many things, she would have coffee and I would have milk in coffee cups just like these, It was a special time for me and my Mother, I could tell her anything and knew it would stay with her, I would tell her of my dreams of becoming famous somehow and live in New York, to meet those famous star from the pictures hanging on the wall, she always said I know you will, i just bet you will one day. I loved my Mother as much if not more than any boy, I wish I could go back there and sit down with her one more time to tell her I did go to New York and I did meet famous movie stars, to tell her I did all the things that she and I talked about but that won’t happen now and I’m sure she already knows. We finished dinner and had coffee in those cups then we both went bed and slept the whole night through. With Jimmy have a memory loss disease it’s these little moments I love must, memories from just two coffee cups. And I got a hat too. Loose Cannon
